Job Description:
At Amazon, we're working to be the most customer-centric company
on earth. To get there, we need exceptionally talented, bright, and
driven people. If you'd like to help us build the place to find and
buy anything online and continue to build and expand The Cloud this
is your chance to make history. The Data Center Community is
looking for an extraordinary individual with proven and tested
leadership and management skills as a leader in our data center
operations organization in the Central Mississippi Region as a Data
Center Operations (DCO) Cluster Manager. Data Center Operations
Cluster Manager is one of our most senior management roles in the
data center environment. In this role, you will be responsible for
leading a large organization, managing managers who own data center
infrastructure including the operational availability of network
and server systems at scale. The pace, scale, and growth of
Amazon’s data center platform will challenge you. Our
uncompromisingly high standards as we continually seek to innovate
on behalf of our customers will push you to new levels of
creativity. At this level, Amazon is unique in that we seek
experienced senior leaders who have evolved to be highly strategic
in their approach to managing their business unit, yet understand
how to lead large teams by example who will not hesitate to roll up
their sleeves when tactical needs dictate it. The ideal candidate
for this role will understand data center IT infrastructure and
Amazon Web Services and understand how the two coexist. If this
understanding is contextual you will be served well by your
experience. If you are passionate about Customer Experience, think

you’ve been looking for! AWS Infrastructure Services owns the

customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on. We
work on the most challenging problems, with thousands of variables
impacting the supply chain — and we’re looking for talented people
who want to help. You’ll join a diverse team of software, hardware,
and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts,
operations managers, and other vital roles. You’ll collaborate with
people across AWS to help us deliver the highest standards for
safety and security while providing seemingly infinite capacity at
the lowest possible cost for our customers. And you’ll experience
an inclusive culture that welcomes bold ideas and empowers you to
own them to completion. Key job responsibilities · Lead and

efficiency in support of our data center operations. · Carry out
supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s
policies and procedures. · Accountability for meeting and exceeding
operational goals. · Strategic planning and forecasting; appraise
performance; reward and discipline employees; resolve problems; and
address staffing needs. · Obsess over team learning and
development, both from a technical/functional and soft skills
(critical thinking, emotional intelligence, and adaptability)
development perspective including mentoring and training. ·

globe. · Hiring, managing, and developing the operations management
team including data center managers and data center operations
technicians. · Planning and executing the Infrastructure Operations
component of new AWS data center build-outs, new colocation
build-outs, AWS data center expansions, and colocation expansions,
including the network and server rack infrastructure to facilitate
the daily operations. · Experience in successful insourcing and/or
outsourcing specific task balancing internal skillsets with
frugality. · Continuous improvement of operational processes,
procedures, methods, and tools. A day in the life A typical day at
