Job Description:
At Koch Foods, a leader in the U.S. poultry processing industry,
we are seeking an Associate Food Technologist to join our
innovative R&D team. This role centers on advancing our
commitment to delivering quality and innovative poultry products.
Situated in a dynamic environment, the Associate Food Technologist
will play a pivotal role in product development, enhancement, and
quality assurance, ensuring that Koch Foods remains at the
forefront of the industry. Develop new food products and improve
existing recipes using scientific principles and food technology
knowledge. Conduct shelf-life studies and stability testing for new
and modified products. Work closely with cross-functional teams
including marketing, quality assurance, and production to bring new
concepts to market. Analyse nutritional content, cost, and safety
of new food products. Ensure compliance with government food
processing and safety regulations. Prepare reports and
presentations on the findings and progress of research projects.
Support scale-up and commercialization processes. Strong analytical
and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and
interpersonal skills to work effectively in a team environment.
Working knowledge of food science principles, food processing and
preservation techniques. Proficiency in utilizing laboratory
instrumentation and industry-specific software. Understanding of
HACCP, FDA, USDA regulations. Certified Food Scientist (CFS)
credential is advantageous but not required. Knowledge of HACCP
certification is desirable.
