Job Summary:To monitor the safety of UMMC staff, students, faculty
and students as it relates to a patient under the care of UMMC
treating physicians' orders for constant observation for safety
reasons. Education & Experience High school diploma/GED. Must be at
least 18 years of ageKnowledge, Skills & Abilities Interpersonal
skills to interact with patients, visitors, and staff Verbal and
written communication skills Ability to understand and enforce
safety procedures Ability to communicate with clinical staff
requests Preferred Skills Skill in providing services to
individuals Ability to gather data, compile information, and
prepare reports. Ability to resolve concerns from patient and
clinical staffRESPONSIBILITIES
- To monitor the safety of UMMC staff, students, faculty and
students as it relates to a patient under the care of UMMC under
treating physicians' orders for constant observation for safety
reasons.
- To provide information to UMMC PD supervisor(s) and clinical
staff in relation to the monitoring of the patient(s) assigned
- Complete daily reports relative to assigned duties

disagreeable physical environment such as high noise level and

chemicals which mandate attention to safety considerations,
occasional working hours significantly beyond regularly scheduled
hours, occasional travelling to offsite locations, occasional
bending, occasional lifting and carrying up to 75 pounds,
occasional climbing, occasional crawling, occasional
crouching/stooping, occasional driving, occasional kneeling,
occasional pushing/pulling, occasional reaching, occasional
