Job SummaryThe Consumer Credit Analyst is responsible for timely risk analysis and packaging of new consumer loan requests. The position will also provide portfolio review and analysis for assigned requests for the consumer portfolio.Primary and Essential FunctionsLeads and supports Strengthening HOPE Initiative that values an organizational culture for open communication, innovation, associate engagement and other traits that contribute to collaboration and high performance.Work with consumer lending staff to assess risk of new credit requests and develop strategies to mitigate identified riskPackage and present consumer loan requestsSupport branch staff in preparing all real estate documents including preliminary and closing documentsProvide general administrative support for the AVP of Consumer LendingAdhere to departmental policies and procedures. Provide recommendations to manager on suggested updatesSecondary FunctionsPerform general administrative duties such as attending meetings, report production, etc.Assist with special projects as requested/assignedAssist loan operations department with review of new loan files and tracking of all documentation exceptionsAssist loan operations with filing and maintenance of all loan filesAssist as needed in securing follow-up information and addressing post-closing issues to ensure that all consumer loan documentation is received and filed appropriatelyCompetencies/SkillsStrong computer skills, especially with financial spreadsheets and word processingAbility to read and interpret documents, write routine reports and correspondenceAbility to speak effectively before groups of customers and employees of the organizationAbility to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimalsAbility to compute rate, ratio, percent, and interpret dataAbility to apply commonsense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructionsAbility to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situationsAbility to evaluate creditworthiness from multiple structured and unstructured variablesDesired QualificationsBachelor's Degree in relevant field; business and/or graduate degree preferredSome prior credit analysis and underwriting experience desiredDemonstrated strength in credit analysis, financial analysis, and communication skills (written and verbal) Equal Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with Disabilities The contractor will not discharge or in any other manner discriminate against employees or applicants because they have inquired about, discussed, or disclosed their own pay or the pay of another employee or applicant.
