JOB SUMMARY Under the supervision of the Assoc. V.P.-Head Start & Early Childhood Programs , the Center Administrator Mentor is responsible for planning, coordinating, monitoring, record keeping and reporting, guiding, training, supervising and evaluating, supporting and collaborating to ensure the effective delivery of services in the Head Start Program. Under the supervision of the Associate V.P. Head Start and ECP, the Center Administrator Mentor is responsible for mentoring, monitoring, and establishing professional development plans for Level 1 and 2 Center Administrators. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education, Psychology, or related field with two (2) years of experience working directly with preschool children. At least 2 years of experience as an Administrator. Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbal. Applicants must pass Criminal Background and Child Abuse Central Registry Check and meet State Health Department requirements. Supervisory Control The Center Administrator Mentor will be responsible to the Associate Vice President, Head Start and Early Childhood Programs who is responsible to the Vice President, Head Start and Early Childhood Programs. The Center Administrator Mentor will be evaluated semi-annually by the Associate Vice President, Head Start and Early Childhood Programs. The evaluation will be conducted through a process of performance monitoring and progress reviews. The evaluation will be reviewed and approved by the Vice President, Head Start and Early Childhood Development Programs. Supervising and Evaluating Participates in the performance evaluation of assigned C enter Administrator mentee staff. Participates in the selection process for hiring Assistant Center Administrators. Assist in interviewing Assistant Center Administrators and Level 1 and 2 Center Administrators.
