Job Description
Under the direction of the Teacher, the Classroom Disabilities Aide
is responsible for attending to the basic needs of children with
diagnosed disabilities, organizing activities that stimulate the
children's physical, emotional, intellectual, and social growth,
helping children explore their interests, developing their talents
and independence, building self-esteem, and learning how to
interact with others. Incumbents are expected to work at various
sites as assigned in order to meet the needs of children with
disabilities.
Qualifications
High School Diploma with three (3) years of experience working in a
preschool setting with children diagnosed with disabilities. Must
be able to communicate effectively with persons at all levels.
Must pass Criminal Background and Child Abuse Central Registry
Checks. Must meet state health requirements.
