Job Description:

Support Care vocational position accountable for transporting as well as escorting patients to appointments inside and outside of the Mississippi State Hospital facility. This role also includes participating in patient transport activities, and performing other transportation related activities on and off campus. In this role, you must also be able to anticipate all transportation obstacles and come up with a plan to avoid their occurrence. Additionally, this role will also be required to look after all vehicles and ensure that they are in good working condition. In this role, you will promote safety in transportation by complying with all security and safety protocols in place insuring that all patients and transportation employees are safe.
You should have a complete knowledge of the various logistic knowledge needed for transportation. Moreover, you should have strong analytical skills and the ability to handle stressful situations that may occur while driving.
Typically requires a High School Diploma or high school equivalency. A valid drivers license will also be required for this position.
