Job Description:

This is professional administrative work performed under the direct supervision of the Vice President, Head Start and Early Childhood Programs. This position is responsible and accountable for the day-to-day operations of all Centers including program, administrative, and field operations. All Head Start Center Administrators report to the Associate Vice President, Head Start and Early Childhood Programs.

Supervisory Control
The Associate Vice President, Head Start and Early Childhood Programs is directly responsible to the Vice President, Head Start and Early Childhood Programs. The Associate Vice President, Head Start and Early Childhood Programs will be evaluated semi-annually by the Vice President, Head Start and Early Childhood Programs. The evaluation will be conducted through a process of performance monitoring and progress reviews conducted by the Vice President, Head Start and Early Childhood Programs. The Associate Vice President, Head Start and Early Childhood Programs will act in a supervisory capacity in the absence of the Vice President, Head Start and Early Childhood Programs.

Qualifications
A Master's degree in Business Administration, Management, Public Policy Administration or Education Administration, Early Childhood Education, or a related field and six years of experience at upper or middle management levels in a governmental agency or private enterprise, at least two years of which must have included work with some aspect of the Head Start program or a program serving a similar constituency.
