Job Description:
Characteristics of Work:
The Personnel Specialist is responsible for implementing the areas
of recruitment and selection and staff training activities. The
incumbent performs a variety of personnel function duties,
including interviewing non-management staff, advising supervisors
on the application of policy, assisting in the investigation of
grievances or complaints and preparing a variety of reports under
the direction of the Personnel/Staff Development Director.
Minimum Qualifications:
A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited four year college or
university in Personnel Management, Business Administration,
Political Science, Public Administration, Human Resources and three
(3) years of experience in Personnel Management. Must be
knowledgeable of labor law and training programs.
