Electrician - Facilities Services Job Summary: To install,
maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, systems, and
fixtures. To ensure that work is in accordance with relevant codes
and complies with applicable safety practices. Education &
High school diploma/GED and four (4) years of related experience or
equivalent combination of education/experience.
Certifications, Licenses or Registration Required: Valid driver's
license. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Knowledge of materials, methods, and tools involved in the
installation or repair or electrical wiring, fixtures, systems, and
equipment. Mathematical skills. The ability to read blueprints.
Verbal and written communication skills.
- Assembles, installs, tests, repairs, and maintains electrical
wiring, equipment, apparatus, and fixtures using hand and power
- Installs electrical conduit and pulls wiring and cables through
- Performs inspections to identify hazards, defects, and the need
for repair or adjustment and ensures compliance with codes.
- Monitors and records performance of electrical systems and
transformers and reports on the performance of such systems.
- Ensures proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and
supplies; complies with measures to promote workplace safety and
