**Job Description:**The Enterprise Solutions Architect
strategically provides solutions for the design and implementation
of in-house information systems, hardware, and networked software
architectures that support core organizational functions, and
assure their high availability. This position ensures
organizational commitment for all systems and software plans, as
well as evaluates and selects all technologies required to complete
those plans. In addition, the solutions architect provides
technical leadership across the organization, from strategic
decision making down to the project planning level. The consultant
is recognized as a technical solutions expert in one or more
critical products, programs and/or technologies. This position is
responsible for developing and implementing new products and/or
approaches in conjunction with implementing new/existing
technologies. The enterprise solutions architect typically serves
as a technical consultant/specialist both inside Intermountain
Healthcare and to outside organizations. Primary assignment
involves Intermountain's most complex and critical technical
issues. Provides guidance to all members of the team.Remote/hybrid
work - we may hire out of state workers where state laws allow.Job
Essentials1. Leads in the design and implements long-term strategic
goals and short-term tactical plans for managing and maintaining
corporate systems and software.2. Ensures that proposed and
existing system architectures are aligned with organizational goals
and objectives.3. Provides architectural expertise, direction, and
assistance to Systems Analysts, Systems Engineers, other Enterprise
Solution Architects, and software development teams.4. Develops,
documents, and communicates plans for investing in systems
architecture, including analysis of cost reduction opportunities.5.
Leads in the research of emerging technologies in support of
systems development efforts, and recommends technologies that will
increase cost effectiveness and systems flexibility.6. Where
applicable, uses expert knowledge to design, develop, and oversee
implementation of end-to-end integrated systems.7. Documents the
company's existing systems architecture and technology portfolio;
makes recommendations for improvements and/or alternatives.8.
Reviews new and existing systems design projects and procurement or
outsourcing plans for compliance with standards and architectural
plans.9. Confers with end-users, clients, or senior management to
define business requirements for complex systems and infrastructure
development.10. Models business and systems processes based on
findings through use case scenarios, workflow diagrams, and data
models.11. Develops and executes test plans to check infrastructure
and systems technical performance. Reports on findings and make
recommendations for improvement.12. Develops and manages a
systems/solutions capacity plan.13. Develops, documents,
communicates, and enforces a policy for standardizing systems and
software as necessary.Minimum QualificationsEight years of
enterprise solutions architect experience (consultant level)Six
years of enterprise solutions architect experience (senior level)-
and -Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering,
information management or other technical field. Degree must be
obtained through an accredited institution. Education is verified.-
or -Four years of equivalent technical experience.- and -Experience
in developing strategic systems and solutions architecture plans.-
and -Experience with business requirements gathering/analysis.- and
-Experience in systems, hardware, and network design and
development.- and -Demonstrated strong understanding of information
processing principles and practices.Preferred
QualificationsDemonstrated solid understanding in core enterprise
applications.- and -In-depth technical knowledge of network, PC,
and platform operating systems.- and -Working technical knowledge
of current systems software, protocols, and standards.- and -Expert
knowledge of programming languages.- and -Hands-on experience with
application development tools.- and -Strong knowledge of software
evaluation principles and practices.- and -Proven project planning
and management experience.- and -Good knowledge of applicable data
privacy practices and laws.- and -Ability to effectively prioritize
and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment is crucial.- and
-Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.- and -Strong
written and oral communication skills.- and -Strong interpersonal
and customer service skills.- and -Highly self motivated and
