Job Description:
As a CDL Live Haul Driver at Koch Foods, you will be at the
forefront of our supply chain operations, ensuring the safe and
efficient transport of live poultry from our farms to processing
facilities. Using state-of-the-art transportation technologies and
adhering to the highest standards of biosecurity and animal
welfare, you will play a critical role in maintaining our
reputation for delivering quality poultry products. This position
requires skillful operation of heavy trucks equipped with
specialized live haul trailers, close coordination with farm and
facility staff, and a commitment to upholding Koch Foods' values of
integrity, quality, and sustainability. Operate commercial vehicles
(Class A CDL) to transport live poultry from farms to processing
plants safely and efficiently. Manage load securing to ensure
animal welfare and comply with all biosecurity guidelines. Conduct
pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle and
equipment are in good working order and compliant with all safety
regulations. Maintain accurate records of deliveries and travel
logs compliant with state and federal regulations. Communicate
effectively with farm managers, processing facility staff, and
logistics coordinators to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.
Adhere to company guidelines regarding animal welfare, safety, and
maintenance schedules for transportation equipment. Report any
issues or concerns immediately to the transportation management
team. Profound knowledge of DOT regulations and safety standards.
Skilled in operating Class A commercial vehicles, specifically with
live haul trailers. Strong communication and coordination
abilities. Capability to manage time effectively to meet delivery
schedules. Ability to handle physical demands of securing and
transporting live cargo. Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License
(CDL) with a clean driving record. Completion of a certified truck
driving school program preferred.
