Job Description:
As an essential part of Amazon Web Services (AWS), the Data
Center Manager is responsible for overseeing the operation and
management of AWS’s large-scale data centers. This role focuses on
maintaining the highest standards of infrastructure reliability,
scalability, and data protection. The Data Center Manager will lead
a team dedicated to equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, and
implementation of innovative strategies to enhance system
efficiency. You will work closely with IT, security, and
engineering teams to ensure our service delivery aligns with AWS's
high standards and our customer's expectations. Oversee day-to-day
operations of multiple data centers and ensure compliance with all
requisite policies and regulations. Manage and develop a team of IT
professionals, including hiring, training, and performance
evaluation. Coordinate with IT and engineering teams to execute
strategic plans that enhance system infrastructure. Implement best
practices for data security and ensure rigorous disaster recovery
and backup procedures. Monitor data center performance metrics and
adjust operations as needed to meet business objectives. Manage
budgeting, forecasting, and expenditure for data center operations
and equipment. Liaise with vendors and stakeholders to ensure
equipment and software meet organizational needs. Strong leadership
and team management skills. Expert knowledge of data center systems
and infrastructure. Proficiency in ITIL, enterprise architecture,
and network management. Ability to strategize and implement complex
IT solutions. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work
