Job Description:
Amazon Web Services (AWS), a leader in cloud computing, is
seeking a dedicated and experienced Data Center Operations Manager
to oversee the daily operations and maintenance of our
state-of-the-art data centers. The Data Center Operations Manager
will be responsible for ensuring optimal performance, reliability,
and scalability of our infrastructure to support Amazon's vast
array of cloud services. This role is crucial for maintaining the
high service delivery standards that AWS customers expect. The
ideal candidate will have a robust background in data center
management, including an understanding of both IT infrastructure
and facilities management. Lead daily operations of multiple data
center sites to ensure operational excellence. Manage and mentor a
team of data center technicians and operations staff. Oversee the
maintenance and repair of infrastructure, including servers, HVAC,
and power systems. Ensure compliance with all safety, security
protocols, and regulatory requirements. Work collaboratively with
IT architects and systems engineers to improve and escalate
operational issues. Prepare and review operational reports and
schedules to ensure accuracy and efficiency. Conduct disaster
recovery and business continuity planning and exercises. Strong
leadership and team management skills. Extensive experience in data
center operations, facilities management, and IT infrastructure.
Proficient in the use of data center management tools and software.
Strong understanding of server hardware, networking technologies,
and power systems. Ability to work effectively in high-pressure
