As the Data Center Facility Manager in our Data Center Engineering Operation team, you will play a pivotal role in managing AWS's data center facilities, ensuring operational excellence and physical integrity of our infrastructure. This role involves supervising daily operations, managing contractors, and leading compliance with safety and environmental policies. You will oversee the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems to maximize reliability and efficiency, supporting the continuous growth and innovation AWS is known for. Oversee the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing operations within the data center. Ensure strict adherence to critical facility operational policies, procedures, and compliance requirements. Manage local facility operations and maintenance staff, including hiring, training, and performance management. Conduct regular audits to ensure infrastructure meets the security and compliance standards of AWS. Develop and implement strategic preventive maintenance plans to increase operational efficiency. Coordinate with IT staff to ensure alignment of physical infrastructure with technological demands. Monitor data center performance metrics and make necessary adjustments to operations. Manage and liaise with contractors and suppliers to ensure quality and timelines are met. In-depth knowledge of data center MEP systems. Strong leadership and team management skills. Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities. Superior project management and organizational skills. Experience with industrial safety practices and standards.
