Manages all clinical and research functions of the assigned area or unit. Ensures efficient and effective delivery of clinical patient/participant care and research services and ensures compliance with administrative, regulatory, and clinical policies and procedures. Performs job duties in accordance with the medical center's purpose. Education & Experience Bachelor's degree in nursing and five years of RN experience, to include three years in a research role, and to include two years in supervisory role. Certified Clinical Research Professional (CCRP) within one year of hire date. CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES OR REGISTRATION REQUIRED: Valid Mississippi RN License,Certified Clinical Research Professional (CCRP) within 1 year of hire date Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Knowledge and understanding of nursing, research, and patient care standards and procedures. RESPONSIBILITIES Manages and directs the operations and delivery of research services within the budgetary, staffing and regulatory guidelines, following protocol procedures. Ensures that personnel demonstrate quality standards of research integrity, patient/participant care, and participant satisfaction. Manages nursing and ancillary personnel within an assigned area or unit by coaching, educating, consulting, training, and evaluating their performance. Plans, schedules and organizes the work of the assigned area or unit to ensure the proper distribution of assignments and efficient utilization of clinical personnel, space, and facilities. Assures compliance with productivity standards for assigned area/units. Participate in ongoing quality improvement activities to enhance the delivery of clinical care.
