Job Description Description UNC Health Orthopedics at Southeastern Health Park in Lumberton, NC seeks a Joint Arthroplasty Surgeon to join a growing group of surgeons providing hip and knee joint arthroplasty and general orthopedic care to southern North Carolina and northern South Carolina residents. The practice capitalizes on employment with UNC Health Medical Group (UNCHMG), a physician-led entity, and supports teaching medical students and residents. HIGHLIGHTS Join a busy practice of 4 Orthopaedic Surgeons (2 Sports Medicine/General, 1 SM/Hand/General, 1 General/Joints), 5 APPs, a complex foot/ankle podiatrist, and a pain medicine physician with an extensive background in spine. 70th%ile volume potential includes general orthopedics and the only surgeon specializing in hip/knee cases Dedicated OR block time Practice located in Health Park with an ASC EPIC EMR with Abridge AI Documentation support Practice hours Monday-Thursday 8:00am-5:00pm, Friday 8:00am-12:00pm General ortho call 1:4 or better at one hospital, UNC Health Southeastern Competitive compensation package with base salary, RVU and quality bonus, health/dental/vision insurance, 403b with attractive match, 457b, CME, medical malpractice coverage, paid vacation, relocation, signing bonus and more Medical student and resident teaching opportunities available through Campbell University School of Osteopathic Medicine REQUIREMENTS Unrestricted MD/DO license in NC or eligible BC/BE in Orthopedic Surgery Adult Reconstructive Fellowship training preferred Must meet criteria for medical staff credentials at UNC Health Southeastern COMMUNITY North Carolina , a popular inward bound state for young professionals, families and retirees, boasts a top –notch quality of life with a low cost of living.
