Job Description The GV Sonny Montgomery VA Medical Center is seeking a dynamic Primary Care Physician to provide exceptional care to our nation’s Veterans. Key Responsibilities: - Uses assessment skills to examine patients thoroughly using appropriate clinical, laboratory and other pertinent data. - Initiates appropriate and timely treatment. - Acts quickly in recognizing emergency situations and taking timely necessary action. - Promptly and completely reports physical examinations and changes in patient status. - Accurately interprets and evaluates clinical data for the purpose of determining diagnosis and clinical status. - Demonstrates ability to plan, organize, and coordinate the administrative, clinical, or educational programs. Preferred Experience: - Board-eligible or board-certified in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine. - 3 or more years of experience in a Primary Care Setting. - Prior experience in the hospital, emergency or trauma setting.
