We are seeking a Critical Care Physician Assistant for a locum tenens assignment in North Carolina. This opportunity begins on Jan 6, 2026, and spans 84 days, featuring a 7 on 7 off schedule with 12-hour day and night shifts in a state-of-the-art 16-bed Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit. Qualified candidates will have a minimum of 2 years of ICU experience and be ready to join a collaborative team providing advanced cardiovascular critical care. Job Details - Location: North Carolina - Start Date: Jan 6, 2026 - LOA: 84 days - Provider Type Needed: Critical Care Physician Assistant - Schedule: 7 on 7 off; 12-hour shifts (Day: 0630-1900, Night: 1830-0700) Responsibilities and Duties - Provide direct patient care in a Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit - Perform assessments, diagnose, and manage critically ill cardiovascular patients - Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans - Participate in daily ICU rounds and ensure continuity of care throughout the shift - Document patient progress and interventions accurately - Adhere to established clinical protocols and best practices for critical care medicine Additional Information - Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required - Must hold an active North Carolina license as a Physician Assistant Benefits - Strong compensation - Travel-related expenses covered - A-rated medical malpractice insurance provided - Dedicated recruiter for future travel opportunities What are Locum Tenens Jobs?
