Job Title: Hematology/Oncology RN Profession: Registered Nurse

Required Certifications: BLS required, ACLS required for Charge RNs
Must-Have: Level 1 trauma experience Experience in a larger
facility with high acuity patients Comfortable with lines, chest
tubes Hematology/Oncology and chemotherapy experience preferred
Description: The position involves working in a medical surgical
setting specializing in hematology and oncology. Candidates must
have experience with high acuity patients and be comfortable
handling various medical procedures. Nurse-to-patient ratios are
typically 1:5, adjusting to 1:6 for higher acuity patients. RNs
will work with patients requiring monitoring and may be involved in
titrating drips. Each unit has tele capability, and patient
monitoring is standard across all areas. Charge nurses may take
light assignments or a full load of patients if needed. All staff
may float between medical surgical units based on skill set and
patient needs. Scrubs must be solid colors and professional in
appearance. Weekends and holiday rotations will be required as per
department needs. There is no on-call or standby requirement for
this position.
