Job Description:

Under the direction of the Vice President of Head Start and Early Childhood Programs, the Children's Services Director is responsible for developing the team management system whereby education, disabilities, health and nutrition services will be effectively implemented and evaluated.
Qualifications

A Master's Degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field; two years of management or administrative-level experience in Head Start or are a similar program; extensive knowledge of federal, state and local resources; knowledge of financial practices and budgets; and a humanitarian interest in community activities.

Special Qualifications

Must pass Criminal Background and Child Abuse Central Registry Checks.
Must meet State health requirements.

Physical Requirements

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, use hands to finger, handle or feel objects when writing various reports. While performing the duties of this job, the employee primarily works in indoor conditions.

Supervisory Control

The Children's Services Director is directly responsible to the Vice President of Head Start and Early Childhood Programs, who is responsible to the President and Chief Executive Officer. The Children's Services Director will be evaluated semi-annually by the Vice President of Head Start and Early Childhood Programs. The evaluation will be conducted through a process of performance monitoring and progress reviews.
