Job Summary:The Director, Life Services directs the implements of Life Services within the designated market, including pilot projects, grants, and programs (i.e., JobConnect).Essential Functions:

  • Provide leadership and oversight of the statewide JobConnect program, ensuring standardization of the program across geographic regions and a consistent JobConnect member experience
  • Lead efforts with market and product leaders to develop aligned, collaborative processes designed to meet the business requirements and goals of Life Services in the designated market
  • Collaborate with Enterprise teams, internal and external stakeholders, and community partners to inform and influence the design and development of Life Services programs
  • Develop quality and innovative processes to deliver advanced Life Services programs supporting member well-being across the market
  • Provide detailed review and analysis of member data to recommend and design programs, interventions, protocols and metrics that support improved member well-being
  • Collaborate with market and product leaders to develop community-based Life Services initiatives in support of identified needs and strategic goals in designated market
  • Collaborate with Sales & Marketing team(s) to create and execute innovative marketing campaigns, to promote Life Services initiatives to CareSource members and community partners
  • Develop and manage internal and external partnerships with community partners and key stakeholders to meet the goals identified for Life Services programs and the CareSource strategic plan
  • Monitor performance across markets and products to identify improvement opportunities, leverage best practices, and promote knowledge-sharing for the purpose of improving outcomes through the standardization of evidence-based practices
  • Coordinate with Enterprise Life Services team, monitor compliance with Life Services Corporate framework, and promote standardization across markets and products
  • Participate in statewide committees and focus groups specific to Life Services programming, providing input and/or presentations on behalf of CareSource
  • Assist with development of newly required programming and interventions associated with the procurement of new business
  • Perform any other job related instructions as requestedEducation and Experience:
    • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Economics, Human Services, Social Work, Community Development or related field or equivalent years of relevant work experience is required
    • Master's Degree is preferred
    • A minimum of five (5) years of experience working within the social determinants of health is required (including workforce development, food access, housing, child and adult education, special populations, etc.)
    • A minimum of five (5) years of working with community organizations, government organizations, social services, or working with low-income populations is required
    • A minimum of three (3) years of management experience is required
    • Social determinants of health integration experience required
    • Previous managed care experience is preferred
    • Experience in program development, evaluation, and quality improvement preferred
    • Project Management experience preferred (i.e., Lean Six Sigma, etc.)
    • Experience in launching new programs across cities, counties, or states is preferredCompetencies, Knowledge and Skills:
      • Basic level skills utilizing Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint; intermediate Microsoft Office skills preferred
      • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks, promote teamwork and fact-based decision making
      • Business acumen and strategic thinking, yet able to execute tactically
      • Demonstrated ability to adjust to shift priorities, multi-task, work under pressure and meet deadlines
      • Proven ability to recognize opportunity for improvement and lead change
      • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with ability to effectively manage a high performing team, and provide coaching and development

      • Customer service orientationLicensure and Certification:
        • Life Coach credential/certification and related experience with the "coach approach" preferred
        • To help protect our employees, members, and the communities we serve from acquiring communicable diseases, full COVID-19 and Influenza vaccination is an essential requirement of this position. CareSource requires annual proof of Influenza vaccination for designated positions during Influenza season (October 1 - March 31) as a condition of continued employment. Employees hired during Influenza season will have forty-five (45) days from their hire date to complete the required vaccination. CareSource requires all employees to be fully vaccinated (two weeks removed from completion of a two-dose mRNA series or two weeks removed from a one dose vaccine) against the COVID-19 virus.
