Job Specialty: Program-General-Technical -- What You'll Do Prov ides Program Management for the Global Security Analysis and Training organ ization in support of Consolidated Nuclear Security, llc, National Nuclear Security Administration (DOE/NNSA) . The Response Project Manager will directly support the ORS federal managers with the management and oversight of program activities in the U.S. that include all aspects of response to alarms from the program installed security enhancements at radiological sites, the development, review and implementation of response related training and exercises, and work with response organizations and entities. Specific responsibilities include the following: Support the development programmatic policy and technical analysis on radiological response issues and topics. Manage, coordinate, and support response outreach activities including the development of outreach products, coordination of exhibits and writing papers for conferences, development and update of web-based products, and development and tracking of response outreach strategies and actions. Support the development, review and implementation of ORS training efforts including e-learning training and response training and exercise programs. Support the management, coordination, analysis, and implementation of new ORS initiatives including those focused on major metropolitan areas and the highest priority radiological materials. Support the development and maintenance of project work plans for ORS projects that include prioritization of activities, lifecycle schedule, funding, activities schedule, milestones, and challenges to implementation. Support and lead ORS delegations to partner sites and entities in the U.S. and internationally to develop and implement radiological response activities. Maintain knowledge of political and related events that could potentially impact global radiological security and response efforts. Develop briefings and reports on radiological security response issues and topics associated with ORS programmatic efforts. Attend internal, NNSA, and interagency meetings on radiological response. Participate in meetings and collaboration activities with domestic organizations and associations on radiological response. What You Can Expect

  • Bachelor's degree: Minimum 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Master's degree: Minimum 1 year of relevant experience. Preferred Job Requirements Prefers a Bachelor's degree in a technical, business, or operational discipline and a minimum of 10 years relevant work experience . Fifteen years of education, training and progressive experience may be considered equivalent. The operational and technical experience sought includes the following disciplines : a thorough understanding of Law Enforcement Agencies, Inter-agency government experience, developing and executing training / exercises in coordination with other agencies , P hysical Security , and conduct of radiological / nuclear security activities at DOE, DHS, or commercial facilities. Requires the ability to manage complex tasks simultaneously and the flexibility and adaptability to quickly shift from one task to another as priorities dictate . Must have good oral and written communication skills and the ability to interface effectively with a variety of customers, including sponsors, program managers, technical spec ialists , and senior managers . A preferred candidate has been identified. This position will be located in Washington, D.C. Notes The minimum education and experience for the lowest career level in the job posting range are listed under Minimum Job Requirements. Successful candidates hired into a higher career level than the minimum in the range must meet the requirements listed in the job leveling charts for the career level into which they are being hired. If a range of Career Levels is posted, i.e., Senior Associate to Senior Specialist, internal applicants already in one of the Career Levels would come across at their current Career Level. Internal applicants currently in a lower level Career Level would move to the lowest posted Career Level, and internal applicants in higher Career Levels may be considered, on an exception basis, to come across laterally based on the applicant's education and experience, and the scope of work being performed in the role. Requires a Q clearance; however all qualified candidates will be considered regardless of their current clearance status. The ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy Q clearance is required. Position may require entry into Materials Access Areas (MAA) and participation in the Human Reliability Program (HRP). If HRP is required, candidate must complete a counterintelligence-scope polygraph, pursuant to 10CFR 709. Medical requirements may apply. CNS is a drug-free workplace.
