Senior Azure Cloud Engineer at Somatus
Remote
Summary:
The Senior cloud systems engineer will serve as the the most senior
resource on the infrastructure engineering team. The role will be
responsible for maturing our architecture, practices and delivery
of Azure services.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Support Corporate and Production workloads in Azure
Lead architectural development in Azure
Play a key role in enhancing security and compliance of Azure
Increase our adoption of infrastructure as code
Assist in the expansion of Azure DevOps practice
Coach and guide junior staff members

Required Education & Experience:
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
Expert knowledge of Azure networking, storage, SQL, app plans,
policy and monitoring.
Experience with Azure DevOps.
Proficient in terraform and Azure CLI.
Knowledgeable of IT Operations and IT Service Management
processes.
Knowledge of all aspects of Azure security.
Comfortable and proficient with best practice documentation
standards.
Strong collaborative mindset to work across teams and with both
junior and senior resources.
Be comfortable with a fast-paced, growth-oriented culture that
changes and achieves quickly.
Physical Requirements:
This job operates in a professional office setting. While
performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly
required to sit or stand for extended periods of time. Normal
manual dexterity is required.
Normal speaking and hearing abilities to interact with others in an
office environment, over telephone or other video conferencing
platform.
The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; and reach
with hands and arms and continuously repeat the same hand, arm
finger motion many times as in typing.
