Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and
minimum 1 years Special Education Teacher experience required.

considered. This opportunity is for a Special Education Teacher to
support K-12 students within various educational settings,
specializing in early childhood through severe and profound needs.
These positions offer the chance to contribute to student growth
and development by delivering tailored instruction and supporting
diverse learners in an onsite environment. Locations and
Specializations: Early Childhood Special Education at Okatie
Elementary (Bluffton, SC) Severe and Profound Special Education at
May River High School (Bluffton, SC) Key Responsibilities: Develop
and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students
with special needs. Utilize specialized teaching strategies and
resources to address varied learning abilities. Collaborate with
general education teachers, support staff, and families to foster
inclusive classrooms. Monitor student progress and adjust
instructional methods accordingly. Maintain accurate and compliant
documentation related to student performance and services.
Qualifications and Experience: Valid Special Education teaching
certification. Experience working with special education students,
preferably in early childhood and/or severe and profound education.
Strong communication and collaboration skills. Ability to manage
classroom environments effectively. Passion for supporting the
educational and developmental needs of students with disabilities.
Position Details: Location: Ridgeland, SC, serving schools in the
surrounding area including Bluffton. Schedule: Full-time, 37.5
hours per week. Employment Type: Contract for the current school
