Amazon Web Services (AWS) is currently seeking an experienced Construction Manager to join our Infrastructure & Public Works team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing construction projects from conception through completion, ensuring that projects meet design specifications, budget constraints, and timeline requirements. With AWS's commitment to innovation and excellence, the successful candidate will manage multifaceted construction initiatives related to cloud computing facilities, ensuring alignment with AWS's operational objectives and sustainability commitments. Plan, coordinate, and oversee all phases of construction project management. Manage the budget, project resources, and scheduling to ensure timely project completion. Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other construction and building specialists. Ensure compliance with legal requirements, building and safety codes, and other regulations. Contract negotiation and management for construction services and materials. Conduct risk management to minimize project risks and maintain safety standards on-site. Prepare internal and external reports pertaining to job status and present project details to senior management. Strong knowledge of construction management processes, means, and methods. Expertise in building products, construction details, and relevant rules, regulations, and quality standards. Excellent leadership, negotiation, and communication skills. Competence in conflict and crisis management. Ability to plan and see the 'big picture'; competent in project and time management. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred. Certified Construction Manager (CCM) credential is advantageous.
