This is a senior level role responsible for guiding projects from early concept and client engagement through design coordination, budgeting, and successful execution. The Director of Design Build Construction will play a critical role in shaping strategy, improving processes, and maintaining the high standards that have defined Peoples Construction for nearly 60 years. We combine a strong foundation of experience with forward thinking construction practices and technology Learn more at peoplesconstruction.com Key Responsibilities Lead and oversee all design build operations for commercial and industrial projects Meet with clients to evaluate needs and develop design build solutions and proposals Direct budgeting, estimating, planning, and design coordination efforts Oversee preparation of plans, specifications, and pricing documents Coordinate internal teams, consultants, architects, engineers, and subcontractors Build and enhance reporting systems to track project progress, timelines, and performance Identify and implement process improvements, software, and systems to improve efficiency Support site selection and early project feasibility efforts Maintain strong relationships with clients, community leaders, and industry partners Represent the company professionally in client meetings and industry settings Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Construction Management, Business, or related field Minimum five years of experience in commercial general contracting with design build leadership responsibility Deep understanding of design build delivery methods and construction processes Experience with VDC, CAD, and modern construction technology tools Strong knowledge of site selection and early project planning Proven ability to manage client relationships and stakeholder engagement Excellent leadership, communication, and collaboration skills Strategic, forward thinking, and self directed professional Compensation and Benefits Competitive salary range of $100,000 to $150,000 Performance based and year end bonuses Medical, dental, and vision insurance Life and disability insurance options Retirement savings plan with profit sharing Paid time off including vacation, sick time, and holidays Bi weekly pay Mileage reimbursement Paid training and professional certifications Technology package including smartphone or tablet Profit sharing or employee stock options Supportive, family first culture focused on stability, growth, and long term careers Schedule Full Time Monday through Friday Occasional travel for regional project oversight Work Location Based at the Flowood, Mississippi office Regional project oversight across Mississippi and surrounding states Equal Employment Opportunity Peoples Construction Corporation is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
