Job Description Job Description Position Summary The Staff
Accountant plays a key role in supporting daily accounting
operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and maintaining
compliance with internal policies and regulatory standards. This
role is essential to maintaining the integrity of the
organization's financial data and improving accounting processes.
Key Responsibilities General Accounting Prepare and post journal
entries to ensure timely and accurate recording of financial
transactions. Maintain and reconcile balance sheet accounts,
including monthly account analyses Assist with monthly, quarterly,
and year-end close activities, including preparing financial
statements and supporting schedules. Support audit preparation by
organizing documentation and responding to auditor inquiries.
Accounts Receivable (AR) Generate customer invoices and apply
customer payments accurately. Monitor aging reports and manage
customer collections with professionalism. Reconcile AR subledger
to the general ledger monthly. Accounts Payable (AP) & Cash
Management Review and code vendor invoices for processing. Assist
with weekly cash flow management and bank deposits. Tax Compliance
Prepare and file sales and use tax returns across multiple
jurisdictions. Maintain compliance with changing state tax
regulations and support state registration filings as needed.
Reporting & Analysis Prepare P&L variance analyses and cost
summaries as needed. Analyze financial trends and provide insights
to management for budgeting and forecasting. Process Improvement &
Cross-Functional Support Recommend and assist in implementing
process improvements within AR, AP, and general accounting
workflows. Collaborate with internal teams (sales, operations,
finance) to ensure accurate financial data and resolve
discrepancies. Cross-train on related functions and provide back-up
support for AP, order entry, or other accounting roles as needed.
Qualifications Education & Experience Bachelor's degree in
Accounting, Finance, or related discipline. 2-5 years of relevant
accounting experience; multi-entity or manufacturing experience
preferred. Technical Skills Proficient with accounting software
(ERP systems such as SAP, NetSuite, or QuickBooks). Strong Excel
skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, advanced formulas). Understanding
of GAAP and foundational accounting principles. Pay Details: $1.00
