Job Description:

Assistant Controller:

A fast-growing logistics services company, has an opening for an assistant controller. This position is located at the corporate headquarters in Madison Mississippi. Excellent opportunity for advancement. Benefits include health, dental, paid vacation and 401k plan with employer match.

Essential Duties:

- Treasury management duties including cash reconciliations

- Create relevant and timely reports on financial data analytics including daily working capital flash report, scorecards, and actual spend against budgets/outlooks

- Administer regular account reconciliations

- Instrumental in preparation of GAAP financial statements, including budgeting and forecasting

- Assist controller with bank and financial audits

- Backfill for controller where appropriate

- Knowledge and understanding of managing bank line of credit


Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, CPA or advanced degree a plus

- 5 years' experience in accounting

- Experience in Excel, Word, QuickBooks, and ERP software a plus

- Requires attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to multitask.
