Job Description:Mississippi Federal Credit Union is looking for
qualified and talented individuals to join the Financial Specialist
(Teller Operations) team. The ideal candidate for this position is
motivated, agile, service focused, thrives in a dynamic team
environment, an effective listener and communicator, detail
oriented, and able to trouble shoot effectively. The Financial
Specialist (Teller Operations) is responsible for assisting new and
existing members, on the phone or face-to-face, with transactions
and inquiries regarding products and services. The Financial
Specialist (Teller Operations) listens effectively to the member,
performs transactions accurately, answers questions regarding MSFCU
products and services, and cross sells products and services that
will help the member reach their financial goals. The Financial
Specialist (Teller Operations) works in a team environment and
assists their co-workers and Management as needed.ESSENTIAL
FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIESFollow MSFCU policies and procedures at
all timesFollow objectives to achieve or exceed company and
department goalsWork closely with team members to succeed as a
groupSolve problems quickly and accuratelyHandle cash and checks
within set limits and places holds where neededBalance cash drawer
at end of business day and researches and resolves
discrepanciesPerform drive-up functions, night drop, and ATM duties
as assignedKeep accurate and up-to-date records of all actions
taken as required by law, regulation, and company policies and
proceduresRepresent MSFCU in a professional manner in all
interactions with MSFCU membersMaintain confidentiality of member,
employee, and company informationGreet and welcomes members to the
credit union in a professional mannerProvide prompt, excellent
service, and accurate transactionsPromote, explains, and
cross-sells MSFCU products and servicesMaintain an up-to-date
knowledge on all credit union products and servicesMaintain an
up-to-date knowledge of, and adheres to, the requirements of all
related policies, procedures, rules and regulations required for
positionModel a high level of service and a professional demeanor
and appearanceParticipate in MSFCU sponsored community outreach
eventsMay have opening and closing responsibilitiesResponsible for
regular and predictable attendance and punctualityEstablish and
maintain professional business relations with all MSFCU
employeesAssume responsibility for ensuring that professional
business relations are established and maintained with MSFCU
membersUtilize effective and professional communication to present
a positive image in all situationsAttend and participate in
meetings and training as requiredKeep management informed of

informed of changes in policies, procedures, and related legal and

or assignedExperience and Skills:MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSHigh School
diploma, or equivalentAbility to perform basic math calculations
(addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages)High
level of service and communication skillsProfessional appearance,
dress and attitudeAbility to use related computer software,
Microsoft Office products, and business equipment, including
computers, copy machine, coin and money counting machinesPREFERRED
QUALIFICATIONSExperience working for a financial institution,
preferably a credit unionBachelor's degree in a business related
fieldKNOWLEGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIESExcellent relationship
building, verbal, written, listening, and interpersonal
skillsDetail oriented and good organizational skillsAbility to
perform basic mathematical calculations (addition, subtraction,
multiplication, division, percentages), and interpret and analyze
financial data.Ability to work independently and as a team
memberAbility to present a positive and professional image to all
employees and membersProblem-solving skillsFlexible with shift
prioritiesStrong organizational and multi-tasking skills in a
