Job Description:
FINANCIAL ANALYST
Mississippi Legislative PEER Committee is actively seeking
applicants for a Financial Analyst position. PEER is an acronym of
the Joint Legislative Committee on Performance Evaluation and
Expenditure Review, a nonpartisan standing committee of the
Mississippi Legislature. Created in 1973, PEER provides the
Legislature with timely and accurate information on Mississippi
state government in order to enable that body to perform its
function of legislative oversight. PEER analyzes state agency
programs and operations and helps the Legislature make state
government effective, efficient, and accountable.
Financial Analyst: Minimum requirement: Master's degree from an
accredited four-year college or university in business
administration, accounting, finance, or a related discipline.
Licensed as a CPA or CGFM preferred. (Individuals who will receive
a master's degree by the end of the spring or summer 2021 semesters
are encouraged to apply.) Base salary: $64,500, higher salary
