Date: Jan 8, 2020Location: Jackson, Mississippi, United StatesCompany: EntergyJob Summary/PurposeCorporate Sr. Auditors are responsible for governance, oversight planning, coordinating and conducting audits and execution of fleet audit activities in accordance with implementing procedures. This oversight will include audit activities conducted at the corporate office and in the field at any of the nuclear plant sites.Additionally, corporate Sr. Auditors will augment the audit team when there are functional area issues and challenges. Must have demonstrated leadership, sound judgment, maturity and analytical ability, as well as excellent communications skills orally and in writing. Additionally, corporate Sr. auditors must be effective at communicating their concerns to both site and corporate NIOS leadership and be influential at communicating problems to gain alignment on addressing identified problems and take the necessary intervention action.Job Duties/Responsibilities

  • Reviews fleet, site and department performance, and based on performance and risk insights, selects areas for audits and surveillance and selects fleet and plant data for analysis.
  • Effectively communicates with corporate leadership, corporate functional area managers (CFAMs) and site functional area managers (SFAMs). Ensures quality and accuracy of nuclear independent oversight (NIOS) audit reports.
  • Assists the NIOS corporate QA Manager, the corporate QA Supervisor, Fleet Audit sponsors in roll up of audit issues to identify adverse trends and those areas warranting line intervention to improve fleet and station performance.
  • In the role of corporate Sr. auditors identifies fleet audit problems, recommends solutions and creates fleet reports providing an accurate picture of performance in the area being audited. Has familiarity with current nuclear independent oversight (NIOS) processes, practices, codes, standards, regulations, and principles to ensure that the oversight function of audits is effectively implemented.MINIMUM REQUIREMENTSMinimum education required of the positionBachelors degree in Engineering or a technical field or equivalent work experience.Minimum experience required of the positionAuditor, QA I- Ability to acquire ANSI/ANS N45.2.23 Lead Auditor certifications within two yearsAuditor, QA II- 2 years of nuclear power plant experience in the field of quality assurance or supervisory experience in plant operations. Requires minimum one year of experience in the overall implementation of the Quality Assurance Program and ANSI/ANS N45.2.23-1978 certification.Auditor, QA III- 4 years of nuclear power plant experience in the field of quality assurance or supervisory experience in plant operations. Requires minimum one year of experience in the overall implementation of the Quality Assurance Program and ANSI/ANS N45.2.23-1978 certification.Auditor, QA Sr.- 6+ years of nuclear power plant experience in the field of quality assurance or supervisory experience in plant operations. Requires minimum one year of experience in the overall implementation of the Quality Assurance Program and ANSI/ANS N45.2.23-1978 certification. Performance as lead for NUPIC Audits and/or NIEP Evaluations.Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities required of the positionKnowledge of Nuclear and other regulatory quality / QAPM requirements. Knowledge of nuclear industry regulations and experience. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Proficient in the use of Microsoft desktop applications. Strong analytical and problem solving skills. Ability to manage multiple assignments. General understanding of nuclear power operations. Strong leadership skills.Any certificates, licenses, etc. required for the positionANSI/ANSN45.2.23-1978 certificationsDesired: SRO License or Certification, or Qualification in a technical discipline (e.g., Maintenance or Engineering).Commercial Nuclear Engineering or Operations background highly desired.OTHER ATTRIBUTESFunctional Knowledge Requires conceptual and practical expertise in own discipline and basic knowledge of related disciplines.
